The Worthy Wife | Accepted, Self-confidence, Empty Nester, Marriage, Eggshells
What would life be like if you had the confidence to be yourself—without fear of rejection, disappointment, or needing others’ approval?
What if you could speak up without walking on eggshells, stop people-pleasing, and finally feel accepted for who you are?
Welcome to The Worthy Wife Podcast.
I’m Carrie Allemeersch—Certified Christian Life Coach, wife, and mom—and this podcast is for Christian women who feel emotionally exhausted in their marriage, struggle with self-confidence, or feel like they’re constantly performing to keep the peace.
If you’ve spent years trying to be a “good wife,” keeping everyone happy, and quietly shrinking yourself to avoid conflict, you’re not alone. Many women I work with feel unseen, unheard, and unsure of who they are anymore—especially in difficult marriages or during the empty nester season.
Here, we talk about Christian marriage, emotional safety, boundaries without guilt, and mind management rooted in biblical truth. I’ll help you untangle your worth from your husband’s emotions, your children’s choices, or other people’s expectations, so you can live with peace, clarity, and confidence—without losing your faith or yourself.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Stop walking on eggshells in your marriage
-
Build Christ-centered self-confidence and acceptance
-
Release people-pleasing and emotional burdens that aren’t yours to carry
-
Strengthen your identity as a wife, mom, and empty nester
-
Lead your home with wisdom, courage, and grace
For years, I believed the lie that my worth was measured by how well I kept others happy. It was exhausting—and it didn’t work. Scripture reminds us that our worth is rooted in Christ, not in performance, approval, or perfection.
If you’re longing for peace, connection, and confidence in your Christian marriage—especially if you feel stuck, emotionally worn down, or unsure how to move forward—grab your earbuds and join me. You belong here.

Hey friends, I am so happy to be sharing this episode with you today!
Do you find it easier to be kind, open-minded, and patient with a stranger than with your own adult child?
In this heartfelt episode, we're unpacking what it means to "love them like a stranger." It may sound odd at first, but here's the truth: many Christian moms extend more grace to strangers at church or in the grocery line than to their own grown children. We expect our kids to think like us, act like us, and keep the family traditions. And when they don't? We feel rejected, confused, or even disrespected.
But what if the key to connection is releasing the reins and choosing curiosity over control?
I’ll share practical and biblical wisdom for:
Reframing your role as a mom to an adult child
Letting go of unspoken expectations and traditions
Responding with interest instead of instruction
Reserving judgment so connection can grow
Seeing your adult child as an individual, not a project
This episode is a gentle call to shift from parent-as-director to parent-as-listener. Because loving well doesn’t always mean agreeing—it means making space for relationship and letting go of control.
💡 Whether your child has left the faith, rejected your values, or simply grown into someone you don’t understand… this episode will help you build bridges without compromising your beliefs.

Hi Friends, are you struggling with wanting to do a thing but feel doubt or shame about it?
What if you did what you really wanted to do and stopped listening to your, or anyone else's voice that would want to keep you down? What if you believed that the Lord is your shepherd and your present help so that you could walk confidently in freedom? (1 Corinthians 2:16) What would you do today if you were to experience the greatest sense of freedom, knowing that your heart is in line with God's plan for your life and that you can trust your desires? How amazing, right?!! You can practice this feeling right now. I pray that you will ask God to give you full confidence in the promise to guide you and keep you so that you can experience the childlike faith of knowing nothing that you or anyone else does can ever separate you from his love. If you want to truley experience this love you must believe in His word. He says that He will always love us and never forsake us! The knowledge and the feeling of His redeeming and unchaging love is glorious!
Go ahead and drop me a line anytime, I look forward to hearing from you @ carrieallemeersch@gmail.com

One of the best things about having a relationship with God is that He speaks to us personally, right where we are at. This week I will challenge the status quo of many Christian housewives who may be going to their husband with their troubles and trials first, instead of taking all of her cares directly to Jesus and trusting that she will hear from Him.
As always you are invited to reach out to me through email or text. I look forward to hearing from you today.

Are you feeling resistance from your children—or even your spouse—as you step into leadership or obedience to God’s call on your life?
In today’s episode, I’m talking to every Christian mom who’s trying to lead her family with love and conviction—but keeps bumping into disapproval, distance, or doubt from the very people she loves most.
Here’s the truth: You don’t need their approval to follow God. And leading your home doesn’t mean staying silent. It means going first—with gentleness, wisdom, and peace.
We’re covering:
What to do when your children don’t like the direction you’re heading
How to lead without fighting
The surprising gift of being “unavailable” to your family sometimes
Why obedience to God often brings growth to those around you
You can lead your home with confidence and stay rooted in grace—even when it’s hard. Let's talk about how.
“Am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man?If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.”– Galatians 1:10
